COLUMBIA, S.C. –
South Carolina’s volleyball team will be under the bright lights and cameras of television twice during the 2010 season, including a second-straight season with one national telecast, the Southeastern Conference said today as it released its 2010 broadcast schedule for volleyball.

For the second-consecutive season, the Gamecocks get a primetime appearance on ESPNU, as they will face the Florida Gators on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. EDT in Gainesville, Fla. South Carolina also gets its match at Alabama picked for FSN, with match time moved to 2 p.m. EDT to accommodate the network.

In all, 17 volleyball matches have been chosen via the SEC’s television network package with ESPN, including five Wednesday night matches on ESPNU.

South Carolina starts its volleyball season on Friday, August 27, in the State Farm Illini Classic, facing Middle Tennessee at 5:30 p.m. EDT.
