COLUMBIA, S.C. – Nearly 70 former South Carolina men’s basketball players and over 100 guests attended the Third Annual Men’s Basketball Alumni Reception, which was held on Saturday, August 28 at the Columbia Museum of Art in downtown Columbia. The two-hour reception saw former players from several era’s of South Carolina basketball return to Columbia to celebrate at the annual event.

The reception was held prior to the start of the 2010-11 Gamecock basketball season. Third-year head coach Darrin Horn returns five letterwinners from the 2009-10 squad, while welcoming seven newcomers, including one transfer student-athlete and six freshmen. South Carolina kicks off the 2010-11 campaign with an exhibition contest versus Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 4 at Colonial Life Arena.
