COLUMBIA, S.C. – Sophomore Kimberly McCormack from the South Carolina equestrian team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

McCormack went 3-0 for the Gamecocks over the weekend as the equestrian team won both of its competitions to start the season 2-0.

Friday against SMU, McCormack won her rides in Equitation and Equitation Over Fences as the Gamecocks defeated the Mustangs 8-4. McCormack also won MVP awards for both events.

Saturday against South Dakota State, McCormack won her ride in Equitation 84-69.5, as the Gamecocks beat the Jackrabbits 12-7.

Last year, McCormack posted 15 wins for the Gamecocks while being named the Varsity Equestrian National Championships Hunter Seat MVP, the highest individual award a rider can receive at the tournament.
