COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Darrin Horn and his staff will host the Third Annual Darrin Horn Ladies Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, from 9-11:30 a.m. at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Palmetto Health Foundation For The Breast Cancer Program Research and Support Services. All attendees will receive an exclusive Ladies Clinic T-shirt, while lunch will also be provided.

The fundraising efforts from the event will directly impact women in the Columbia area whose lives, in some part, have been affected by cancer.
Palmetto Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, promotes awareness of Palmetto Health’s programs and services and strengthens the quality of healthcare for the people served by Palmetto Health through the highest standards of philanthropy.
Proceeds from Palmetto Health Foundation’s 20th annual Walk for Life and new 5K Race for Life will benefit Palmetto Health Breast Center programs, services, research, cutting-edge equipment and patient/family support. All funds stay in our community at Palmetto Health.

Those interested in attending should register for the event prior to Oct. 15 to receive an early bird registration cost of $30. After Oct. 15, cost for the event will be $35. University of South Carolina students will receive a discounted rate of $10 and may use their Carolina Cash Card for payment. Check-in for the event will begin at 8 a.m. in the main lobby of the arena.
Among the highlights of the event are up-close interaction with Coach Horn, his coaching staff and players, including the opportunity for photos and autographs. A question-and-answer session, interactive basketball drills with the players and coaches and a special performance will also take place during the event.
