COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina freshman midfielder Bradlee Baladez has been named the Conference USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week. It is the first conference player of the week honor of his career.

Baladez shared the award with Central Florida’s Spencer Scott.

Baladez enjoyed a banner week for the Gamecocks, scoring the game-winner in both of South Carolina’s matches, a 1-0 road win at Wake Forest, and a 3-2, come-from-behind win over UAB in the Conference USA opener for Carolina. Baladez scored the game-winner versus the Demon Deacons on an unassisted tally in the sixth minute, and followed with a goal in the 88th minute of action vs. UAB to clinch the game for South Carolina. The Mesquite, Texas, native has tallied three goals this season, with all three being game-winners.

Baladez was also named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week on Monday for his efforts.

South Carolina continues Conference USA play when it travels to face No. 5 SMU and No. 7 Tulsa this week. Live stats for both matches will be available via GamecocksOnline.com.
