COLUMBIA, S.C. – Stephen Morrissey of the Gamecock men’s soccer team and Marcus Lattimore from the football squad have been named AgSouth Co-Athletes of the Week.

Morrissey scored the game-winning goal against Tulsa in the championship of the C-USA Tournament to give the Gamecocks their first conference title since 2005. Morrissey helped South Carolina advance to the semifinals with a goal against UAB and he set up Will Traynor’s game-winner versus SMU to reach the finals. The Gamecocks earned the national No. 7 seed for the NCAA Tournament and earned a first-round bye. They will host either Coastal Carolina or Duke on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

Lattimore carried a school-record 40 times for 212 yards (8th highest in school history) and three TDs in helping the Gamecocks to their first SEC Eastern Division title in beating Florida. He also caught two passes for 31 yards. On the season, he established a school freshman record for rushing yards in a season (964). His three TD’s gives him 16 on the season, breaking the school’s freshman record of 13 and tying for the school’s overall single season mark.
