Dec. 22, 2010

The Gamecock Club and Carolina Alumni Association invite Gamecock fans to STATS Restaurant and Bar in Atlanta on Thursday, December 30, from 7 – 11 p.m. to celebrate the 2010 football season and prepare for the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The event is free to attend and will feature drink specials, the Carolina Calls show, appearances by Cocky and the Gamecock cheerleaders, and live music by diehard Gamecock fan and University of South Carolina alum Patrick Davis starting at 9 p.m.

The Carolina Calls radio show, aired by 107.5 The Game, will take place from 7 – 8 p.m. The show will feature Todd Ellis, Tommy Suggs, and Terry Cousin of the Gamecock Football radio crew.

Gamecock fans may best know Patrick Davis for his ode to Gamecock football, “I’m Just A Big Ole (Game)Cock,” but he is also a successful singer, songwriter, and producer for EMI Music Publishing in Nashville, TN. Fellow Gamecock Darius Rucker is among the artists who have recorded his songs.

STATS is located at 300 Marietta Street NW in Atlanta. Fans attending the event will receive a 3-hour validation at the parking garage across the street by spending $20 at STATS.

For further information, contact the Gamecock Club at (803) 777-4276. Gamecock Club holiday hours are December 27-30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and December 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The office will be closed December 23-24.
