COLUMBIA, S.C. – La’Keisha Sutton from the South Carolina women’s basketball team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Sutton led all scorers with a season-high 21 points at Arkansas. She scored seven of the team’s nine points in overtime, including the last two on a pair of free throws with five seconds left that gave the Gamecocks their final lead. Sutton tied her season high with two 3-pointers, including one during overtime, just her ninth and 10th triples of the season. She also handed out three assists, blocked a shot and swiped a steal to help the Gamecocks to just their second road win of the season.
