COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore forward Lakeem Jackson is expected to miss the next three contests (at Tennessee (Feb. 16), at Kentucky (Feb. 19), vs. Ole Miss (Feb. 22) due to ongoing issues with a left foot injury, South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Darrin Horn announced on Monday. Jackson is expected to return for the away contest at Georgia on Feb. 26.

“Lakeem has been battling this foot injury for several weeks and our medical staff feels that by having an extended period of time off, it will be in the best interest of Lakeem, which is our number one priority,” Horn said.

Jackson previously missed the Auburn contest (Jan. 29) due to the injury. He averages 8.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 28.5 minutes per contest this season.
