OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – South Carolina rising sophomore Johnna Letchworth claimed first place in Horsemanship on Friday at the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Associations’ Redbud Spectacular. The event runs June 1-12 at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds.

Letchworth was the best of 40 riders in the Horsemanship division.

Letchworth’s latest achievement comes just six weeks after she finished the season as the top collegiate Horsemanship rider in the country. Letchworth went 15-2-1 during the 2010-2011 season, including a near perfect 4-1 post-season record

Letchworth went 11-1-1 during the regular season, earning her a spot on the inaugural VENC All-America Team, making her the only Gamecock to receive the nod.
