It’s time for Day Seven of our series 16 Gamecocks, 16 Days. Today, we get the transcript of Bernice Woodard’s conversation with redshirt freshman Kellie Schmidt, who talks about her favorite teammate and a particular pet peeve.

Who is your favorite teammate? Why?
I like Juliette because she makes me laugh.

If you could travel anywhere on the planet, where would you go?
Australia, I always thought it would be cool to go there. I think it would be cool to see some kangaroos running around.

What was the best movie you saw this summer?
Harry Potter

If you could be a character in any movie, who would you be?
I would be Willy Wonka because he has a cool chocolate factory.

If you could trade places with any person on the South Carolina campus, who would it be?
Juliette, so that I could speak French.

Do you have any pre-game or in-game rituals?
I used to like to listen to music, but we do that in the locker room now so that works out. We just get pumped with music.

What one word would you use to describe your style of play?
Competitive

What’s the one thing you can’t leave without on a road trip?
My phone

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
When people quote movie lines when I am watching it.

You’ve chosen graphic design as your major. What is your favorite thing or part about designing something?
Sketching out an idea.
