COLUMBIA, S.C. — Kayla Grimsley from the South Carolina women’s soccer team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Grimsley hit two milestones in South Carolina¹s SEC opening weekend. The senior assisted on the game-winning goal that defeated No. 11 Tennessee to gain sole possession as the school¹s all-time leader for career assists at 25. Grimsley then scored her fifth goal of the season at Georgia for her 100th career point as a Gamecock. She is one of only two Gamecocks to score 100 points in a career and has accumulated 38 goals and 24 assists in 81 career games.
