COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina equestrian team is now ranked fourth in the latest coaches poll of the 2011-2012 season, it was announced today.

The Gamecocks (2-1) are coming off a 10-10 tiebreaker loss at Auburn on Oct 8. The Gamecocks have not competed since the last poll was released on Oct. 12, but Georgia went 2-0 since then, allowing the Bulldogs to bounce South Carolina from the No. 3 spot.

The poll will be released bi-monthly with the next announcement scheduled for November 9, 2011.

The Gamecocks return to action on Friday when they travel to Dallas to face No. 9 SMU in Hunt Seat action. South Carolina then travels to No. 8 New Mexico State to face the Aggies on Saturday. The Gamecocks close out the fall portion of their schedule on Nov. 4, when they host Georgia at One Wood Farm in Blythewood.
