SOUTH CAROLINA VS. FLORIDA POST GAME NOTES (2/9/11)
TEAM NOTES
• For the third straight year under Darrin Horn, the two teams split the season series 1-1.
• Unlike the previous two years, this season was the first time under Horn that the away team won both contests between Florida and South Carolina.
• The Gamecocks went 0-for-8 and trailed 9-0 in the opening 5:30 before Ramon Galloway hit a 3 to end the game-opening drought. Galloway proceeded to score the next seven points of the game to push the score to 9-7 at the 13:12 mark.
• Finished the first half shooting 11-for-17 (.647) after opening the game 0-for-8.
• South Carolina entered the game No. 2 in the NCAA in blocked shots at 6.8 per game, but the Gamecocks were limited to just two Wednesday night – both from Sam Muldrow.
• South Carolina shot over 40% for the third straight game (23-of-55, .418), but their opponents shot for over 50% for the second straight game (31-of-56, .554).
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
#12 Ramon Galloway
• Scored South Carolina’s first seven points of the game, all coming in a one minute, 18-second span to change the score from a 9-0 deficit to a 9-7 game.
#44 Sam Muldrow
• Collected two blocks and is now just three blocks away from surpassing Brandon Wallace (249) for first place in the Gamecock history books. Muldrow currently has 247 blocks for his career.
#2 Brian Richardson
• With 10 points, hit double digits for the first time since he also scored 10 points at Florida on January 15.
#33 RJ Slawson
• Hit his fourth career three-pointer late in the second half. Slawson went 1-for-1 from beyond the arc.

• South Carolina hosts Georgia on Saturday afternoon for the first of two contests between the Gamecocks and Bulldogs. The game tips off at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
