COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina equestrian program has added Andrea Tito to its staff, head coach Boo Major announced today. Tito has been hired at the Gamecocks’ new barn manager.

As South Carolina’s barn manager, Tito will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at One Wood Farm. She will also manage the facility, supervise the care of the horses, and the barn staff.

“We’re excited to have Andrea joining our program and we welcome her to the Gamecock family,” Major said. “We have the top facility in the country and have a wonderful barn staff here, and we are glad to have Andrea running our barn operations in Blythewood. Andrea has competed and worked in a collegiate equestrian program before, and the experience she gained in both roles is going to help her as she joins our staff.”

A native of Saline, Mich., Tito graduated from St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, N.C. in May with a degree in Biology with a specialization in Equine Science. She competed on the school’s intercollegiate dressage team as well as IHSA Western during her junior year. In addition, she worked at the university’s equestrian center for your years.

“I never believed that I would be blessed with such an opportunity right out of college and I am thrilled to be here,” Tito said. “I am excited to be working with such a wonderful group of people in a nationally recognized program, and I look forward to meeting the student-athletes when they return to campus in August.”

Tito replaces Collette McNell, who served as the program’s barn manager last season.
