POWELL, Ohio — South Carolina senior Meredith Swanson and junior Samantha Swinehart carded a second-round 6-under 66 on Wednesday to move into a tie for the lead at the Women’s Collegiate Team Championship at Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Powell, Ohio.

Swanson and Swinehart’s two-day total of 138 (-6) put them tied atop the leaderboard with the Notre Dame duo of Ashley Armstrong and Kristina Nhim, who shot a 3-under 69 for the second straight day, and Vanderbilt’s Kendall Martindale and Lauren Stratton. The teams played a best ball format on Wednesday where each golfer played their own ball from tee to green, and then the lowest score between teammates counted toward the team score.

South Carolina is one of 54 teams represented at the tournament. Swanson and Swinehart will play in the final round on Thursday with live scoring available by clicking here.
