The South Carolina spirit squads got the season of to a great start at NCA/NDA College Camp in Myrtle Beach this past weekend.

With 25 cheer teams and 15 dance teams in attendance, the cheerleaders and Carolina Girls were recognized as some of the strongest teams competing. In addition to numerous team awards, multiple cheerleaders and dancers were recognized for individual achievements in the All American competition.

Each team also received a bid to NCA/NDA College Nationals, which takes place in Daytona Beach, Florida in April 2013.

All Girl Cheer:

Coed Cheer:

* 2nd Place Rally Routine

* 4 All Americans

* Silver Paid Bid to NCA College Nationals

Dance:

* 1st Place Team Dance

* 7 All Americans

* Top Gun Leaps

* Most Collegiate Award

* Voted Best All Around Team

* Gold Paid Bid to NDA College Nationals

Cocky:

* All American Award

* Most Collegiate Award
