VENICE, Fla. — Former South Carolina women’s golf All-American Katie Burnett carded a final-round 71 (-1) on Friday to win stage two of LPGA Qualifying School at Plantation Golf and Country Club.

Burnett claimed a six-stroke victory after recording four birdies, one bogey, one double bogey and 12 pars for her round. She wrapped up the tournament with a four-day total of 68-68-66-71=273 (-15).

A native of Brunswick, Ga., Burnett was one of 76 golfers that advanced to the final stage, which will be held Nov. 28 through Dec. 2 on both the Champions and Legends courses at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. The final stage will be contested over 90 holes. The top finishers in the final stage will earn 2013 LPGA membership.
