COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina volleyball fans will have an opportunity to get an early look at the 2013 Gamecock squad at the Garnet & Black match, which as been set for Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Volleyball Competition Facility.
Admission for all of the activities during the event is free. The day will begin with a strategy session for coaches at 1 p.m., as all middle and high school coaches are invited to attend. The Garnet & Black scrimmage will get underway at 2:30, and the match will include interactive teaching as discussed in the strategy session for coaches. The event will wrap up with a meet and greet session at 4, with all of the Gamecocks available for autographs and pictures.
The Gamecocks will open their 2013 schedule at home as they host the Gamecock Invitational on Aug. 30-31. Season tickets for South Carolina’s home dates are now on sale. Adult season tickets are $25, while youth 17 and under can get their tickets for $10.
