The Athletics Department is pleased to announce that the Gamecock Club has surpassed 16,300 members, eclipsing last year’s record-breaking mark by 1,100 members. This year Gamecock Club members will provide more than $13 million in scholarships and support to 385 student-athletes.

“The excitement level has never been higher for Gamecock Athletics as demonstrated by a second-consecutive record breaking year of Gamecock Club memberships,” said Carolina Athletics Director Ray Tanner. “The support of Gamecock fans is tremendous and our student-athletes will benefit greatly on and off the field due to their generosity.”

Football season tickets still remain on sale for Gamecock Club members only. To join the Gamecock Club, prospective members may join at GamecocksOnline.com/GamecockClub or by calling 803.777.4276.

“The support of Gamecock Club members is vital to the success of Gamecock Athletics. We are extremely excited to welcome back our past members and thrilled to continue to add new members to the family,” said Patrick McFarland, Gamecock Club Director.

The Gamecocks will open the 2013 football season on Thursday, August 29, when they host the North Carolina Tar Heels at Williams-Brice Stadium. Game time is set for 6 p.m. and the contest will be televised nationally on ESPN.
