THIS WEEK IN GAMECOCK COUNTRY…

The long-awaited debut of the 2013 football season arrives Thursday night in Columbia. The sold out game vs. UNC will be televised nationally on ESPN at 6 p.m. Be LOUD and show the nation that It’s Great to be a Gamecock! The game is Gamecock Club Appreciation Day so members be sure to by the Gamecock Club tent in Gamecock Village (at the front of Gamecock Park, the former Farmer’s Market). Fans can also use their football ticket for free admission at Men’s Soccer vs. East Tennessee State on Friday night at 7 p.m. Gamecock Volleyball opens the season with the Gamecock Invitational and three matches this weekend with free pizza for students on Friday night and koozies for fans on Saturday. Cross Country will host the Carolina Challenge 5K on Friday at Fort Jackson.

**Season Schedule/ Gamecock Club Appreciation Day commemorative rally towels available at the Gamecock Club Tent in Gamecock Village (must show Gamecock Club Membership card to receive towels)
**Students in lower bowl receive a free rally towel
