KNOXVILLE, TENN. –

The second round of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship has been suspended until tomorrow due to weather. The tournament will be shortened to 36-holes and a champion will be named after tomorrow’s round of 18-holes.

After round one South Carolina is at the top of the leaderboard with a three-stroke lead over second place Arkansas. The Gamecocks shot a 5-under 279 on Friday to finish the day in first place. Freshman Katelyn Dambaugh ended the round in a tie for first place carding a 3-under 68.

Second round play will resume tomorrow with the Gamecocks scheduled to tee off at 10:20.
