COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will play a total of 13 regular-season games on television in 2013-14, adding six games to the seven announced as part of the SEC package earlier this week. Four non-conference home games will air on Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas in addition to the Gamecocks’ game at Southern Cal airing on the Pac-12 Networks and their game at Kentucky airing on Fox Sports South as part of the Kentucky’s local programming. The SEC package includes four national and three regional broadcasts during league play.

Fox Sports South/Fox Sports Carolinas added four of South Carolina’s non-conference games to its regional college lineup this season. The Gamecocks will make their television debut on Thu., Nov. 14, when they host College of Charleston as part of a four-game homestand that opens the regular season. After a three-game road swing, South Carolina returns to the FSSO/FSCR airwaves on Mon., Dec. 2, when they host North Carolina Central. The final two games of the FSSO/FSCR schedule bookend the Gamecocks’ holiday break – Sun., Dec. 22, against South Carolina State and Sat., Dec. 28, against Savannah State.

The Gamecocks are slated for four appearances on the ESPN family of networks in 2013-14, beginning with ESPNU’s broadcast of the Jan. 5 game against Vanderbilt at Colonial Life Arena. ESPN2 will pick up South Carolina contests at Vanderbilt (Jan. 26) and LSU (Feb. 16), while ESPNU will close the regular season by airing South Carolina at Tennessee on March 2. The Gamecocks will play on SportSouth on Sun., Jan. 12, at Auburn and against Florida on Sun., Feb. 23. South Carolina’s matchup with Arkansas on Sun., Feb. 9, will air on SEC TV, which can be found locally on WOLO (ABC Columbia).

South Carolina begins practice for the 2013-14 season on Tue., Oct. 1, with one month to prepare for its exhibition game against North Greenville on Fri., Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena. The regular season tips off on Fri., Nov. 8, as the Gamecocks host Charleston Southern at 7 p.m.

The Gamecocks launched the “Drive for 5” campaign this season, an effort to bring 5,000 fans to Gamecock women’s basketball every game.
