COLUMBIA, S.C. – Coming off of a tough road trip last weekend, the Gamecocks look to rebound this week as they split their weekend up with a home game against Vanderbilt on Friday at 7 p.m. ET, before traveling the following day to Mississippi ahead of a 2 p.m. ET clash on Sunday with Mississippi State.

On the Horizon
Following this weekend, the team will wrap up the regular season at home on Oct. 31 against Kentucky for senior night. Being honored prior to the game will be Danielle Au, Gabrielle Gilbert, Samantha Gonzalez, Sam McGowan, Abby Sams, Elizabeth Sinclair, Christine Watts and Rae Wilson.

Scouting Vanderbilt
The Commodores are coming off of their first SEC win of the season, a 5-3 result over Mississippi State after forward Chenya Williams proved the `Dores with a hat trick. After totaling 18 points as a freshman, Williams already has 35 this season as she leads the conference with 15 goals. Vanderbilt has scored two or more goals in seven games this season and have only been shut out twice, with both of those results coming on the road.

All-Time vs. Vanderbilt
The Gamecocks are 3-14-4 all-time against the Commodores, but have not lost to them in the last four meetings going 2-0-2. Both wins during that time came at home with a 2-1 result in 2009 before shutting out Vanderbilt 3-0 two years later.

Scouting Mississippi State
The Bulldogs have yet to win a conference game this season, after winning three games during the non-conference season. Senior striker Elisabeth Sullivan has is second in the SEC in goals, accounting for 14 of the team’s 21 goals this year. The Bulldogs have been shut out six times in 2013, with four of them coming in SEC play.

All-Time vs. Mississippi State
The Gamecocks own a 7-4-3 record all-time against the Bulldogs, holding a seven-game undefeated streak dating back to 2006. On its last trip to Starkville, Miss., South Carolina left with a 1-0 win with the winner coming from Kayla Grimsley.

Gamecock Milestone
Against Alabama on Oct. 11, Head Coach Shelley Smith earned her 150th win at South Carolina. Since 2006, Smith has averaged just over 13 wins a season including a program-best 19 in 2009.

Welcome to the Graveyard
Since 2006, the Gamecocks have cultivated a home-field advantage at Stone Stadium that has help them win more than 78 percent of their games. During that time, the South Carolina is has a 60-14-7 record at home. This season, the Gamecocks are 8-0 at “The Graveyard”, allowing only two goals.
