COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Athletics has announced that its second edition of #HoopsTakeover has been scheduled for Nov. 7. The event is a unique opportunity to utilize radio, social media and streaming video to promote Gamecock basketball.

The one-of-a-kind event, which will run from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. ET, will include live interviews throughout the day streamed on GamecocksOnline.com, broadcast on 107.5 The Game in Columbia, and distributed via all South Carolina social media channels. The event will be followed by the first edition of Carolina Calls With Frank Martin for the 2013-14 campaign.

The schedule of guests will include current players and coaches, athletics administrators, former players, former coaches, national media personalities such as Jeff Goodman and Rece Davis from ESPN, various SEC television personalities and other special guests. The 107.5 FM radio hosts will conduct their regular shows from the McGuire Club in the Colonial Life Arena and play-by-play announcer for the Gamecock men’s squad Andy Demetra will preempt the Dan Patrick Show from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to provide wall-to-wall basketball discussion. A full schedule of guests will be released prior to the event.

From 9 a.m.-7 p.m. ET, at GamecocksOnline.com, a live video stream will broadcast the entire day. Several contests will occur throughout #HoopsTakeover on the radio and in social media to encourage and reward interaction.
