COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s soccer team will hold an NCAA Selection Show Watch Party Monday at Thirsty Fellow at 621 Gadsden St. Fans and media are invited to be with the team as the brackets for the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament are announced. The Gamecocks will be at Thirsty Fellow from 4-5 p.m. The selection show is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be streamed inside the restaurant.

WHAT: The 2013 NCAA Women’s Soccer Selection Show will take place and the Gamecocks will find out if they are selected to their sixth NCAA Tournament in the last seven years. South Carolina holds a 16-3-2 record and entered the week with an RPI of 14.
WHEN: Monday, November 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. The brackets will be announced in a live webcast between 4:30-5 p.m.

WHY: South Carolina (16-3-2) finished the regular season with the highest winning percentage in school history (.842), posting a 10-0-0 mark at Stone Stadium. For the first time in program history, the Gamecocks defeated two Top-10 opponents in a season in No. 7 Duke (8/25) and No. 8 Florida (10/4). Carolina has advanced to the NCAA Tournament in five of the last six seasons, advancing to the NCAA Round of 16 in 2009 and the Second Round in 2010 and 2011. Players and coaches from the South Carolina women’s soccer team will gather with fans and administrators for the official NCAA bracket announcement. Players and coaches will be available for interviews during and after the announcement (4:30-5 p.m.).
