COLUMBIA, S.C. — Alex Handy and Keenan Huskey have signed National Letters of Intent to play golf for the South Carolina men’s golf program, head coach Bill McDonald announced Wednesday.
Handy and Huskey will join the Gamecocks for the 2014-15 season and will look to help the program continue its run of success under McDonald.
“We are very excited to have Keenan and Alex joining our golf program,” McDonald said. “Both of these young men will be great additions to the Gamecock Golf Family. We look forward to their arrival and their contribution to our program.”

Finished runner-up in stroke play at 2012 South Carolina Junior Match Play with a round of 68. Lost in round of 16 during match play
Lost in the quarterfinals at the 2013 South Carolina Junior Match Play
Qualified for the South Carolina State Amateur with a round of 68
Played competitive tennis before taking up golf, ranking at No. 5 in the state at one point
McDonald on Handy: “Alex has always impressed me with his athleticism and tenacious work ethic. He is very long off the tee and has the ability to make a ton of birdies.”
