COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina volleyball team displayed its holiday spirit this week as it adopted a family to buy Christmas gifts for through the annual Holiday Helpings and Hope Program of Palmetto Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Chance Organization.

The program allows individuals or community groups to purchase and deliver Christmas gifts to families of children with cancer or a blood disorder.

The Gamecocks recently selected a family to adopt, gathered all the gifts for the child and each member of their family on the wish list, wrapped the gifts and then delivered them to Palmetto Children’s Hospital on Monday for the family to pick up on its next visit.
