KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Junior goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-South Region first team, the organization announced.

An NSCAA First Team All-American after posting one the best seasons for a keeper in school history, D’Angelo has also found success off the field with a 3.72 GPA in exercise science and earlier this year earned a place on the Capital One All-District 4 Team.

On the field, the native of Welland, Ontario tripled her previous season-high in shutouts with 12 this fall and recorded a 0.59 goals against average. For the second time in three seasons, she was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-SEC honors for the third consecutive season. Earlier this month, she was one of 15 players named as a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, becoming the first player in program history to be selected to the list.
