Feb. 7, 2014
GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA – Former South Carolina All-American Katie Burnett is currently tied for fifth place after two rounds of the Ladies European Tour Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.
Burnett carded a 2-under 71 in Friday’s second round giving her a two-round score of 139 (-7), just three strokes behind the leaders.
A native of Brunswick, Ga., Burnett attended South Carolina from 2008-2012 and wrapped up her Gamecock career as one of the best to ever wear the Garnet and Black. She earned second team All-America honors from both Golfweek and the National Golf Coaches Association after recording a fifth-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Championship, which is the best finish ever by a Gamecock at the event.
