Dambaugh Named SEC Freshman of the Week

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Katelyn Dambaugh has been named SEC Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Dambaugh helped lead the Gamecocks to a first place team finish and tied for seventh on the individual leaderboard at the Florida State Match-Up to open the spring season. The Goose Creek, S.C. native fired a 5-under 67 in the final round and finished with a 3-over 219 for her third top-ten finish of the year. Dambaugh’s 67 ties for the third best low 18-hole score in program history.

The Gamecocks return to action March 7-9 when they host the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. The 54-hole tournament will be played at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
