Swinehart and Dreher Named All-Americans by Golfweek

COLUMBIA, S.C. –

Senior Samantha Swinehart and junior Justine Dreher earned All-America honors from Golfweek, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Both golfers earned Honorable Mention and this marks the second time this season they earned All-America honors, as the pair were named All-Americans by Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Swinehart played a key role in the Gamecocks’ success as she found a spot in the lineup at all 12 tournaments. She wrapped up the season with a team leading 73.12 stroke average, which ranks second all-time for a single season at South Carolina. Swinehart earned second team All-SEC honors and recorded eight top-20 finishes, including a tie for 13^th at the NCAA Championship.

Dreher, a first team All-SEC selection, also helped lead the Gamecocks to one of their best seasons in school history. She finished the season with a 73.36 stroke average, which ranks third all-time for a single season at South Carolina. Dreher played in all 12 tournaments and was the team’s low finisher at six of those tournaments.
