COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina men’s golf team has received Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Team honors, the GCAA announced Wednesday.
South Carolina is one of 141 teams from all levels of collegiate golf (Division I, II, II, NAIA and NJCAA) to earn the honor. To be eligible for the recognition, a school must submit a GPA for each golfer on its roster and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Including the Gamecocks, a total of seven SEC schools received the honor. Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt also made the list.
