Gamecock senior Katherine Schmidt went 2-0 and earned her 19th career Most Outstanding Player award in last week’s season opener at Kansas State. Schmidt is 8-0 all-time in season openers with two MVPs.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina equestrian team dropped two spots in the latest NCEA rankings, it was announced earlier this week. The Gamecocks (0-1) are now ranked fourth after Carolina lost its season opener, 10-8, at Kansas State last week.

The Gamecocks return to action on Friday., Oct. 3 when South Carolina hosts No. 1 Georgia at One Wood Farm in Blythewood. The South Carolina-Georgia meet will begin at 2 p.m. ET and admission is free to all home events.
