Junior cross country runner Anna Todd was named AgSouth Athlete of the Week after winning the Charlotte Invitational 6K on Friday evening at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C.

The win was Todd’s second in a row after claiming first at the USC Open #1 two weeks earlier. It is the third win of her career.

In Charlotte, the Spartanburg, S.C., native, not only won the event, but also did so by clocking a new personal record in the 6K at 21:58.9. Her finish helped lead the Gamecocks to their third consecutive win to start the season as they finished with 37 points, 25 points clear of second place.

Todd and South Carolina will next feature at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., on Oct. 4.
