Sept. 30, 2014

South Carolina women’s soccer (8-3-0, 1-2-0 SEC) fell to No. 24 in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Women’s Rankings. The Gamecocks are No. 13 in this week’s edition of the NCAA’s Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) report released Monday evening.

South Carolina is one of four SEC teams in the NSCAA top-25 along with No. 6 Florida, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 21 Georgia.

The Gamecocks dropped to No. 20 in TopDrawerSoccer.com’s poll.

Last weekend, South Carolina lost to both Missouri and No. 22 Georgia, 0-1, at home. Despite outshooting both of their opponents, the Gamecocks could not find the back of the net.

South Carolina is back in action at 8 p.m. ET on Friday at Alabama. Sunday, the Gamecocks return to Columbia to host LSU. Coverage of both matches will be available on the SEC Network+.
