COLUMBIA, S.C. — In the first Golfstat Relative Rankings of the 2014-15 season, the South Carolina men’s golf team is ranked No. 10, Golfstat announced Wednesday.

The Gamecocks have recorded two top-five finishes in three fall events, including one tournament win. After a sixth-place finish at The Carmel Cup to open the season, Carolina captured the Carpet Capital Collegiate title against a loaded field that included then-No. 2 Georgia Tech, then-No. 5 LSU, defending national champion Alabama and rival Clemson. The Gamecocks followed the win up with a fourth-place finish at the DICK’S Sporting Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup and a 3-2 win over No. 13 Virginia in match play.

Carolina is also ranked No. 10 in the most recent Golf Coaches Association of American Coaches Poll and is No. 16 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.

The Gamecocks will host the inaugural Camden Collegiate Invitational this weekend to close out their fall schedule. The 54-hole event runs Friday through Sunday at Camden Country Club in Camden, S.C.
