CONWAY, S.C. — The South Carolina volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Coastal Carolina on Tuesday, as the Chanticleers won by the scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-23 at the HTC Center.
With the loss, the Gamecocks fall to 13-7 on the season. Coastal Carolina improves to 16-5 overall.
The Chanticleers outhit Carolina .291-.051 on the night and held the advantage in kills (48-27) and blocks (4-3).
Freshman outside hitter Taylr McNeil and junior right side Sarah Blomgren each tallied six kills to lead the Gamecocks, while junior Darian Dozier and sophomore KoKo Atoa-Williams added five each. Junior setter Kellie McNeil delivered a double-double with 15 assists, 10 digs and four kills. Freshman setter Allie Monserez had 10 assists and five digs, while senior libero Mikaela Christiaansen recorded 12 digs and sophomore Jordan Wilson-Talmadge finished with a career-high 11 digs.
Freshman outside hitter Leah Hardeman paced the Chanticleers with 17 kills while hitting .351 and nine digs, while junior Eszter Nagy finisished with eight kills. Junior Lian Bernett and sophomore Annayka Legros pitched in seven kills apiece. Setter Sam Skryd contributed a double-double with 37 assists and 12 digs in the win.

Hardeman hit .351, recording 17 kills on 34 swings to lead the Chanticleers.
