WHEN: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the South Carolina volleyball team is teaming with the Side-Out Foundation to host a Dig Pink match when it faces Mississippi State on Friday at the Carolina Volleyball Center. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

PURPOSE: The Gamecocks are looking to increase breast cancer awareness and fundraise to support further research for this disease that has affected so many friends, family and loved ones.

PROMOTIONS: Fans who come out to the match will receive free pink rally towels while supplies last provided by Academy Sports and Outdoor. There will also be a breast cancer survivor recognition in between the second and third sets. In addition, we are also encouraging the general and student population to dress in their most creative pink outfits for the match. A winner will be selected and will be given a T-shirt in between the second and third sets.
