OXFORD, Miss. — The South Carolina volleyball team fell in three sets on Sunday at Ole Miss, as the Rebels won by the scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-20 at the Gillom Sports Center.
With the loss, the Gamecocks drop to 15-9 on the season and 5-6 in SEC play. Ole Miss improves to 19-5 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
Carolina hit an SEC season low .103, while the Rebels hit .195 for the match. Ole Miss also held the advantage in kills (46-30) and digs (52-50). The Gamecocks out-blocked the Rebels 11-7, the 17th time Carolina has out-blocked its opponent this season.
Junior right side Sarah Blomgren recorded eight kills while hitting .400 and matched her career high with five blocks to lead the Gamecocks. Sophomore KoKo Atoa-Williams pitched in seven kills, eight digs and two blocks, while sophomore Katlyn McDaniel had four kills and three blocks. Junior middle blocker Darian Dozier finished with three kills and six blocks, and junior setter Kellie McNeil distributed 18 assists and added three kills, four digs and four blocks. Senior libero Mikaela Christiaansen recorded a match-high 17 digs.
Junior middle blocker Nakeyta Clair paced Ole Miss with 17 kills while hitting .467 and three blocks. Sophomore right side Melanie Crow added nine kills, while freshman outside hitter Lexi Thompson finished with seven kills and 14 digs. Setter Aubrey Edie turned in a double-double with 35 assists and 10 digs, and libero Cara Fisher collected 12 digs.

Clair sparked the Rebels offense, recording 17 kills while hitting .467 for the match.
