COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s golf continues to hold the No. 1 spot for the third-straight poll in this week’s Golfstat Relative Rankings.

In their four fall tournaments, the Gamecocks collected a pair of wins at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate along with a runner-up finish at the Tar Heel Invitational and a third-place result at last weekend’s Landfall Tradition. Both senior Justine Dreher and freshman Nanna Madsen have captured individual titles as well.

A pair of SEC teams sits in the top five, with South Carolina holding the top spot and Arkansas at No. 4. In all, nine SEC teams are ranked in the top 25.

The Gamecocks reached No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings for the first time in program history on Oct. 3 after their head-turning win at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. Two weeks ago, South Carolina took over the No. 1 spot in the Golfstat Relative Rankings for the first time in program history.

South Carolina will look to maintain its strong fall season this spring. The Gamecocks’ first tournament of 2015 will be the Florida State Match-Up (Feb. 13-15, 2015) at the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla. South Carolina won the 2014 Florida State Match-Up.
