COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore guard Duane Notice was named the SEC co-Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists in wins over Marshall and Oklahoma State last week. The weekly honor is the first of Notice’s career.

Texas A&M’s Alex Caruso was also named the co-Player of the Week and Kentucky’s Karl-Anthony Towns was named the Freshman of the Week.

Notice posted back-to-back 20-point performances for the first time in his career, including hitting a career high 27 points in a road win at Marshall. He hit over 50 percent from the field in both contests, including a 10-of-18 performance at Marshall, along with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Notice scored 20 points against Oklahoma State, including 12 points in the second half, helping the Gamecocks to victory. Notice also connected for 3-of-6 from 3-point range vs. the Cowboys.

South Carolina will host Clemson on Dec. 19 following a 12-day break for final exams. The contest versus the Tigers will tip at 7 p.m. ET, on the SEC Network.
