The Gamecocks have a little more than a month to prepare for their season opener, which is slated for March 7 against Mercer. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at the Carolina Sand Volleyball Complex. Carolina will host three home weekends in the program’s second season and will face three teams that played in last year’s AVCA Sand Volleyball National Championships, including national champion Pepperdine and runner-up Florida State.

Carolina has 25 players on the roster this season, including last year’s No. 1 pair of Paige Wheeler and Megan Kent and Sarah Blomgren, who played on the No. 2 pair for most of the season. Jade Vitt, Jordan Loney, Chynna Ratner, KoKo Atoa-Williams, Litsa Darby, Erin Neuenfeldt and Morgan LaVigne also return with experience playing in the top-five pairs during duals a year ago.

Select Gamecock matches will be streamed live on SEC Network+ this season through participating providers. Be sure to check back here for more details as they become available.
