COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina’s regular season finale against No. 1 Baylor on March 6 has been moved up one hour to 1 p.m. ET, it was announced today. The meet will take place at One Wood Farm in Blythewood.

The Gamecocks (7-2, 3-1 SEC) are currently ranked No. 2 and sit in first place in the Southeastern Conference. Baylor (11-0, 4-0 Big 12) is currently No. 1 and in first place in the Big 12 standings. Carolina has won seven meets in a row while the Bears have won 11 meets in a row.

This will be the two teams’ first meeting since the 2012-2013 season. Then-No. 1 South Carolina suffered its first loss of the season at then-No. 8 Baylor, 9-8, at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco. It will also mark Baylor’s first trip to Blythewood since the 2011-2012 season. The Gamecocks defeated the Bears, 15-4, in their home finale on senior day. South Carolina’s hunt seat team won, 10-0.

Admission is free to all South Carolina equestrian competitions.

The Gamecocks travel to College Station, Texas to face Texas A&M on Saturday. Carolina returns home on Feb. 28 when the Gamecocks hosts Auburn for senior day. The South Carolina-Auburn meet will also serve as the team’s annual Equifest Kids Day.
