COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina equestrian team is the No. 1 team in the country for the second straight week, it was announced Tuesday by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA).

The Gamecocks (9-3, 4-2 SEC) wrapped up their regular season on March 6, defeating No. 3 Baylor, 12-6.

South Carolina returns to action March 27-28 when the Gamecocks compete at the SEC Championship in College Station, Texas. Carolina earned the No. 2 seed and will face either Auburn or Texas A&M in the opening round on March 27. The winner will advance to the SEC Championship on March 28.

The NCEA National Championship runs April 16-18 in Waco, Texas.
