COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina sand volleyball team remained at No. 17 in the DiG Magazine Collegiate Sand Volleyball Poll released Monday.

The Gamecocks moved up three spots in last week’s poll to No. 17 but stayed in that spot this week after losses to No. 2 Pepperdine and No. 4 Florida International over the weekend in the Palmetto Invitational at the Carolina Sand Volleyball Complex.

Carolina is 11-5 on the season. The 11 wins more than doubles the team’s win total from last season, as the Gamecocks went 5-12 a year ago.

The Gamecocks have this week off before returning to action April 11-12 at Fiesta on Siesta Key in Siesta Key, Fla.
