COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina head women’s soccer coach Shelley Smith announced the full schedule for the upcoming 2015 campaign on Wednesday. The Gamecocks are set to play 10 home contests at Stone Stadium in the fall.

The schedule features regular-season contests against three teams ranked in the final 2014 NSCAA Top 25 and eight 2014 NCAA Tournament participants. The Gamecocks travel to rival Clemson (Aug. 28), ranked 21st in the final poll, host No. 4 Texas A&M (Sept. 24) in addition to facing to No. 7 Florida (Oct. 22) on the road.

To start the fall, South Carolina travels to Raleigh, N.C., for its lone exhibition contest at NC State on Aug. 14. One week later, the Gamecocks’ regular season begins at home against NCAA participant Northeastern. The program’s first meeting with Oklahoma is set to round out the weekend at Stone Stadium on Aug. 23 and is the second in a three-game stretch against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams.

The first road contest of the season continues the in-state rivalry with Clemson (Aug. 28). The storied rivalry reached a new level last fall as the teams were pitted against one another at Stone Stadium in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the 20-year series. The teams went to overtime for the first time before a 4-3 penalty kick decision ignited the Gamecocks’ run to their first-ever NCAA Quarterfinal.

South Carolina returns to Stone Stadium to meet both Coastal Carolina (Aug. 30) and Colgate (Sept. 4) for the first time. A Labor Day (Sept. 7) match at Charlotte serves as a final tune-up before conference play begins.

A trip to Georgia opens SEC play on Sept. 11 with the Gamecocks looking for their first win in Athens since 1999. South Carolina steps out of league play for a home contest against Kennesaw State (Sept. 14) before returning to conference play to take on Missouri (Sept. 20) in Columbia, Mo.

Back at Stone Stadium, South Carolina welcomes national power Texas A&M to Columbia for the first time. The Gamecocks and Aggies were two of the three SEC teams to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2014, the highest total in league history. Alabama visits the Gamecocks on Sept. 27 to round out the only back-to-back home conference games of the season.

Four of the Gamecocks’ final seven regular-season matches are on the road, beginning with a trip to Arkansas (Oct. 2). Back at “The Graveyard” on Oct. 8, South Carolina hosts Auburn.

South Carolina continues league play with a road contest at Ole Miss (Oct. 11) and a home game against Vanderbilt (Oct. 16).

With wins in 2011 and 2013, the Gamecocks became the first program to post consecutive victories at Florida’s James G. Pressly Stadium. Riding a two-game win streak against the Gators after a thrilling victory at Stone Stadium last fall, South Carolina travels to Gainesville looking for a third-straight win on Oct. 22.

For the first time since 2011, South Carolina travels to Baton Rouge to take on LSU on Oct. 25 before returning to Stone Stadium for the regular-season finale against Tennessee (Oct. 29).

The SEC Tournament returns to Orange Beach, Ala. (Nov. 2-8) with the NCAA Tournament set to begin the following week.

South Carolina made a thrilling run to the NCAA Quarterfinals last year, compiling a 14-6-5 record (5-3-3 SEC) and ending the season ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA final poll, matching a program-best. The Gamecocks return seven starters from last year’s historic squad.
