COLUMBUS, Ga. — South Carolina rising senior Sean Kelly fired a final-round 68 (-3) at the Country Club of Columbus on Saturday to finish tied for third at the Southeastern Amateur.

Kelly wrapped up the 72-hole event with a total of 274 (-10) and finished five strokes back of tournament champion Grant Hirschman, who posted a total of 269 (-15). A native of Staten Island, N.Y., Kelly recorded just one bogey on the day and tallied four birdies.

The tie for third finish is the second-straight for Kelly. He also tied for third at the Palmetto Amateur on June 13.

Gamecock rising sophomore Keenan Huskey had a solid week as well, finishing tied for 18th with a total of 282 (-2) after carding a 74 on Saturday.

SILVERS TIED FOR 58TH THROUGH THREE ROUNDS AT U.S. OPEN
At University Place, Wash., former South Carolina All-American Mark Silvers shot a 75 (+5) in the third round of the 115th U.S. Open on Saturday at Chambers Bay.

Silvers will head into Sunday’s final round in a tie for 58th with a 54-hole total of 218 (+8).

Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Branden Grace and Jordan Spieth are tied for the lead with a total of 206 (-4).

Silvers is slated to tee off in the final round on Sunday at 12:23 p.m. EDT.
