GREENVILLE, S.C. – South Carolina sophomore Keenan Huskey fired a second-round 67 (-5) on Friday at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer Course to build a five-shot lead through 36 holes at the 84th South Carolina Golf Association Amateur Championship.

With two rounds remaining, Huskey leads Lee Palms (140) by five shots with a total of 135 (-9). A native of Greenville, S.C., Huskey tallied an eagle, seven birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey on Friday.

Incoming Gamecock freshman Will Miles is tied for 11th with a total of 144 (E) after shooting a 75 (+3) in the second round.

Sophomore Alex Handy missed the cut after finishing the second round tied for 107th with a total of 162. The top 70 and ties advanced to the weekend.

Huskey will tee off in the third round on Saturday at 10 a.m., while Miles is slated to tee off at 9:30. Live scoring is available at scamateur.com.
