COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s soccer team has moved up three spots to No. 8 in the latest NSCAA poll, as released by the organization on Tuesday.
The Gamecocks went 2-0 on opening weekend with a 4-1 win over Northeastern on Friday and a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma on Sunday.
Florida State, Virginia and Stanford remain in the top three spots, while Texas A&M and North Carolina climbed to fourth and fifth, respectively. A total of four SEC schools made the top 25 as Florida claimed the No. 14 spot and Auburn came in at No. 16
South Carolina remains No. 12 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com rankings.
The Gamecocks head to Clemson, S.C. on Friday (Aug. 28) to take on the Tigers, who are ranked No. 23 by the NSCAA, before hosting Coastal Carolina on Sunday (Aug. 30) at Stone Stadium.
